A LINk will give you the chance to say what you think and to suggest ideas to help improve services. They will be expected to represent everyone. A LINk will also work with care professionals to make sure your views are heard.

LINk stands for Local Involvement Network – a network of individuals, groups and communities, who want to work together to improve local health and social care services.
Our LINk covers all of the provinces of Essex County Council (ECC) and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (SBC). You are a member of/participant in the Essex & Southend LINk if you are a citizen of those local authorities or a user of health and social care services within those boundaries.

CEMVO’s mission is to strengthen communities and tackle inequalities, thus bringing these communities from the margins of society to the mainstream. We support and work with Britain’s faith, disability and, black and minority ethnic (BME) voluntary and community sector organisations by improving their ability to engage and participate actively in civic society. We act as a national advocate for such organisations ensuring that the many voices of the faith, disability and, black and minority ethnic voluntary and community sector (VCS) and the communities they represent are heard and acted upon. CEMVO has a proud history of producing research on the needs of BME communities that has influenced the policies of statutory agencies towards BME communities and increased knowledge and understanding of the issues facing BME communities living in Britain today.
